    Introduction
    In the Blossoms of the Savannah, women who are resilient and determines no matter the challenges always succeed in the end.
    • Resian is determined to go to the university. She has desires to join Egerton University and pursue veterinary Science. (18) She constantly asked Yeiyo amd Taiyo to talk to their father. (183)Her father, Ole Kaelo prefers marrying Resian off to Oloisudori to educating her. (101, 169, 185-197,203-209) She manages to escape and get to Emakererei (262)
    • Resian is determined to fight off being married forcefully to Oloisudori, despite the father’s and Oloisudori’s insistence. (101. 169, 185-197, 203-209) she manages to escape their plans by the help of Olarinkoi(209) and even gets to Minik’s ranch (262) who protects her from the clutches of oloisudori.( 282-284)
    • Minik ene Nkoitoi, Emakererei, is focused on rescuing the girl–child from the FGM practice. The society values this practice and one who has not undergone it is deragoratorilly called ntoiye nemengalana. she’s been considered as a wasp( 21-22, 52) she saves th girls at her ranch (21, 265-284)
    • Minik ene Nkoitoi has set her eyes on educating the girl-child despite the resistance from the Nasilian male-chauvinists.
    • Resian fights olarinkoi from raping her. He worms into their family doing odd jobs (67,74) and wins the girls’s trust by protecting them from the vagabonds( 140-143) she uses that fact to lure resian to his place (209) and tries to rape her and also forces to marry her (218-222) she escapes to Minik’s place( 262)
    • Nabaru fights for Resian against Olarinkoi and his mother to get her Emakererei. Nabaru takes care of resian when she’s hurt( 224-233) she helps her escape to Nabaru’s (245-253)
      In conclusion, one needs to beat all odds to achieve their dreams

      1. Curious /Adventures
        Pahom asks a passing dealer “ is it true is there really a place where the land sells for such a cheap price/ could we really buy 13000 acres of land all for 1000 roubles” pahom is curious to know is the land of the bashkirs actually exist.
      2. Determined
        After learning of the existence of the land of the Bashkirspahom is determined to go there “ I have to go there and buy land. He enquired how to get to the bashkirs.
      3. Greedy
        When he reached the land of the BashkirsPahom is shown the land and given instructions on how to acquire it. On seeing it pg 22” Pahom’s eyes glistened. There was wide land in front of his eyes”
        “ I will get the largest and best land above all the people ! I must lose no time” this thoughts show that human nature is greedy pg 25” though afraid of death he could not stop, he ran on and on…… This shows that despite the threat of death from exhaustion he cannot stop for he is greedy.
      4. Far sighted
        Pg 24” still he went on, thinking . an hour to suffer, a life-time to live.
      5. Ambitious
        Pg 21“He wanted wider and more fertile lands and had a desire to farm widely and to keep more livestock. All day Pahom kept thinking about only one thing .How can I have more lands?”
      6. Remorseful/regretful
        “ if only I have not blundered trying for too much! What if am too late?
      7. Persevering /stoic
        Pg 24 Pahom felt serious pain but he pressed on pg 25” though afraid of death he could not stop. He ran on and on ”
        Conclusion
        Accept a plausible conclusion that wraps the argument.

    2. Drama

          • Kino expects the pearl to bring him happiness but this is not the case. Instead the pearl becomes a nightmare as illustrated:
          • It brings about physical injury to Kino as he attempts to fight off his enemies.
          • Murder – Kino kills four men to save the pearl
          • Violence – He hits his wife
          • Loss of property – His boat is destroyed and his house burnt down
          • Family conflict and turbulence in the once calm home.
          • Loss of their child Coyotito (Any other valid points)
