1. Describe Mary’s visit to Elizabeth as recorded in Luke 1:5-56 (8x1=8mks)
  - Mary entered Zechariah’s home
  - She greeted Elizabeth
  - When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greetings, the baby in her womb leaped with joy.
  - Elizabeth was filled with the holy spirit
  - Elizabeth exclaimed with a loud cry and she blessed Mary and the child in her womb.
  - Elizabeth wondered why Mary the mother of her Lord had visited her.
  - Elizabeth informed Mary that the child in her womb had leapt with joy after her greetings
  - Mary responded by praising God
  - Mary stayed with Elizabeth for three months

  - Jesus was requested by Jairus who was a leader of a synagogue to go and heal his only daughter who was very sick.
  - Jesus accepted Jairus humble request
  - But a word came that the daughter was dead and therefore no need to bother Jesus
  - Jesus asked Jairus to have faith and told the mourners not to wail because the girl was just asleep.
  - Jesus together with Peter, John and Jesus and the parents of the dead girl, entered the house.
  - Jesus held the girl’s hand and commanded her to rise up to which she responded.
  - Jesus requested that she be given something to eat.
  - The miracle was to remain a secret.
3. What lessons do Christians learn from the healing miracles of Jesus (7x1=7mks)
  - Jesus had come for the sick
  - Jesus has power to heal/power over evil spirits
  - Jesus required faith for one to be healed
  - Jesus forgives sins
  - Jesus heals both spiritual and physical sickness
  - Jesus accepts other people’s interventions

  - Jesus heals all people/He does not discriminate

  - Paul describes the believers as the body of Christ
  - Christ is the head of the church
  - Believers form parts of the body
  - The body has different organs the same way the church has different members
  - All members need to work together for the well-being of the church
  - Every part of the body is needed to make the whole body/one part cannot be without the other.
  - Different members are given different spiritual gifts by the Holy Spirit to carry out God’s work.
  - There should be no division in the church since all believers are members of the Christ
  - Believers are united through baptism in the Holy Spirit
2. Give six reasons why the use of the gifts of the Holy Spirit brought disunity in the Church at Corinth(6x1=6mks)
  - There was disorder/confusion in worship as people with different gifts tried to outdo one another
  - There was competition in speaking in tongues
  - They did not use the gifts for the benefit of the church/one another
  - Some gifts such as prophecy were looked down upon/there was pride
  - There was no interpretation of tongues when the gift of speaking in tongues was in use hence message not understood
  - Those who spoke in tongues despised those who did not have this gift
