ART AND DESIGN PAPER 2 - 2019 LAINAKU JOINT MOCK EVALUATION EXAMINATION

INSTRUCTIONS TO CANDIDATES:

• This paper contains two alternatives A and B. Each alternative has two options.
• Choose only one equation from the alternatives.
• This paper will be given to you ONE HOUR before the start of the examination to enable you make your choice from the alternatives. During this one hour you are to make sketches on A4 size papers provided to make a choice.
• The use of ruler another mechanical means is forbidden in alternative A but allowed in alternative B
• Clearly write your name, centre number, index number the alternative and the number of the option chosen.
• Use of rulers and any mechanical mean sis forbidden in Alternative

ALTERNATIVE A: DRAWING OR PAINTING:

EITHER

1. DRAWING:
   In either pencil, ball pen, or pen and ink to produce a picture to describe a scene in which a ‘BODA BODA’ rider has been involved in a grisly road accident. Measurement 45cm by 35 cm
   OR

2. PAINTING:
   From imagination or memory paint a scenery depicting farm animals grazing in lush green pasture, the picture should have farm house in the back ground and should measure 45cm by 35 cm.

ALTERNATIVE B:             GRAPHICS

You are instructed that the use of rulers and other mechanical devices as well as tracing paper is allowed. The colour of the working surface (paper) will not be considered as one of the colours required in any question.

EITHER

3. Design a book cover that has the following particulars
   • ‘The night runner’
   • ‘Chichi wa mchawi’
   • ‘Giza publishers’
   • the book cover should have 2cm wide margin and measure 16cm by 25cm when closed
     OR

4. “A new driving school by the name “digital driving school” has been established. It’s in need of a poster to advertise its services. In an area of 45cm by 35cm, and in not more than three colours, design a poster for the school.
