  1. FUNCTIONAL WRITING
    Imagine you are the Secretary of the Drama Club at Upendo High School. The Nation, Drama Festival is scheduled to take place in three weeks' time. The Patron has informed you that you need to have a meeting with the other members of the cast who are also the club members to plan for the festival which will take place at Meru High School. Write a notification of meeting.   (20 marks)
  2. CLOZE TEST
    Read the passage below and fill in each blank space with the most appropriate word.
    (10 marks)
    The debate about the merits of uniforms may linger, but what remains clear is that the variety keep expanding. A new school or institution will come up with a (i).................. that makes its uniform distinctive while existing ones may adjust (ii)................, or add new accessories.

    Ask students or uniformed staff, and they will tell you that some designs are (iii)........while other: are just too plain and drab for their liking. But, are the wearers allowed to (iv)........................ toward: the design of their uniforms?
