The standard electrode potentials of a metal H and Iron are given below.
Fe2+(aq) + 2e  →Fe(s) -0.44V

H2+(aq) + 2e   →H(s) -0.91V

Is the reaction below possible ? Show your working

Emf = -0.91-( -0.44)= -0.47V
The reaction is not possible  since overall emf is negative
