• When he rose from prayer, he found the disciples sleeping for sorrow.
• Jesus woke them, saying they should pray so that they may not enter into temptations.
• While he was still speaking, a crowd came led by Judas, one of his disciples.
• He drew near to Jesus to kiss him.
• Jesus asked Judas why he would betray the son of man with a kiss.
• The disciples asked whether they would strike with the sword.
• One of them struck off a slave’s ear.
• Jesus restrained him, touched the slave’s ear and healed him.
• Jesus asked the chief priests and the officers why they had come to arrest him as if he was a robber with swords and clubs.
• He acknowledged that it was their hour and the power of darkness was at hand.
