A rectangular floor of a room measures 5.4 m long and 4.2 m wide. The room is to be covered with square tiles. Calculate the minimum number of square tiles that can be used to cover the floor.

42 =2×3×7
54 =2×3 x9
G.C.D =2×3=6
∴ G.C.D of 5.4 and 4.2=0.6
No of tiles = area room
                    area tile
5.4 × 4.2 
    0.6×0.6
=63 tiles
