  1. Some have their stomata hidden in grooves;
  2. some have leaves modified to thorns;
  3. some have hairy leaves;
  4. All have reduced no. of stomata;
  5. Some have reversed stomatal mechanism;
  6. Some have succulent leaves to store water;
  7. Some have thick cuticles  
    NB/All these adaptations help the plant to reduce water loss by transpiration.
