From a point 20m away on a level ground the angle of elevation to the lower window line is 25° and the angle of elevation to the top line of the window is 34°. Calculate the height of the window.

x = 20 Tan 25
^y/₂₀ = tan 34
y = 20 Tan 34
 ∴ height of window
= 20 Tan 34° − 20 Tan 25°
=13.49 − 9.33
=4.16m
