  1. Melting point of Magnessium is higher than that of Sodium. 
    • Magnesiun metal has storage metalic bond than sodium in its giant metallic structure due to increase in number of delocalized electrons in magnesium
       
  2. Melting point of Chlorine is lower than that of Iodine.
    • Iodine has strong vander walls forces in its molecular structure,chlorine has weak vander waals  forces in its molecular structure
