    • For series 1.5 + 3 = 4.5Ω = 9/2
      RT = 9/4 Ω = 2.25Ω
      Parallel 1/RT = 2/9 + 2/9 = 4/9 
  2. Determine the current flowing in the circuit. 
    • The magnetic field due to the magnet and that due to current interact producing a resistant force on the wire upwards.
