  2. Asses and appraise the objective, commitmentrs and risks to the Republic in respect of actual and potential national securing capabilities.
  3. Reports annually to parliament on the state of security of Kenya
  4. With approval of parliament, may:
    • Deploy national forces outside Kenya for Peace operations
    • Approve deployment of foreign forces in Kenya.
