Peter was afraid of being arrested.
He was overcome by devil /satan.
The denial had been predicted by Jesus.
Peter was confused by turn of events.
He was disappointed by fact that Jesus didn’t fight back.
He lacked faith in Jesus.
He had no support /solidarity with other disciples.
