Mr. Kimanthi keeps Turkeys and chicken. The number of turkeys exceeds the number of chickens by 6. During the outbreak of a disease, ¼ of the chicken and 1/3 of the turkeys died. If he lost total of 30 birds, how many birds did he have altogether?

No of chickens=x
no. of turkeys= x +6
X/4 + (x+6)/3 = 30
3x + 4x + 24=360
7x= 360-24=334
7x=334
x= 48
Turkeys = 48+6=54
48+54= 102 birds
