1. Determine the distance travelled by sound.
2. Determine the speed travelled at 50C. 
3. Calculate the time taken for the boy to hear the echo

1. Distance travelled =  2d = 250 x2 =500m
2. Speed at 5ºC = 331.5+ (0.6 × 5) = 334.5m/s
3. Time taken = ^distance/_speed = ⁵⁰⁰/_334.5
