Mike and his sister Joan live in the village. Every Saturday they play and look after their parents' domestic animals. One day they played and forgot to look after the animals. The animals went to eat the neighbour's maize. The neighbour found the animals and took them to the chief. The children were afraid. The chief called their parents and they were warned not to repeat such a mistake.

Task 2: READING ALOUD          (10mks)
Read the story below aloud.
On my home I saw a woman selling in a grocery. I said hello to her. I asked her what she was selling. She told me that she was selling things like mangoes, tomatoes, vegetables and green maize. She told me that some of those things like ginger, garlic, onions and tomatoes make food taste good.
When I got home, I asked my mother to use those spices to make our food delicious. From that day, my mother started using those spices in her cooking and everybody in the family enjoyed the meal.
