    1. It is one large collection of many books under one cover.
    2. It has 66 books that are universally accepted -39 books in the Old Testament and 27 books in the New Testament.
    3. The different books in the Bible were written by different human authors.
    4. The Bible was written in different styles .
    5. The books of the Bible are arranged in a systematic order.
    6. The Bible contains books which were written at different at different historical times.
    7. The Bible contains various kinds of books which talk about different issues and stories.

    1. Before creation the earth was formless and void.
    2. God created everything through a divine command “let there be”
    3. The work of creation took six days.
    4. Day 1-God created light and darkness(day and night)
      Day 2-God created the sky.
      Day 3-He created land, sea and vegetation.
      Day 4-He created sun, moon and stars.
      Day 5-He created birds and sea creatures.
      Day 6-He created animals and human beings.
      Day 7-God rested.
  7. State four similarities between the first and second creation stories. (4mks)
    1. In both accounts God is acknowledged as the creator.
    2. In both accounts creation includes both the living and non living objects.
    3. In both accounts human beings are presented as special creatures with responsibilities and privileges.
    4. In both accounts human beings share in the life of God.

    1. Human beings became alienated (separated)from God.
    2. What was innocent and good became shameful 9Adam and Eve became ashamed of their nakedness)
    3. The good relationship between man and God was destroyed/ ruined.
    4. Man was to toil and struggle so as to meet his needs (He had to sweat to make the soil produce)
    5. The woman is to feel pain in child bearing /pain became part of human experience.
    6. Man was expelled/sent out of the garden of Eden.
    7. God confused the language of man after flood.
    8. Human beings changed and became prone to sin.
    9. God was angered by man due to sin and therefore punished His creation through the flood

  11. Identify five causes of evil in Traditional African Society. (5mks)
    1. Evil was believed to have been caused by the evil spirit.
    2. Curses from parents and other blood relatives e.g aunts ,uncles and grandparents.
    3. Malicious ancestral spirits who had grudge against the living.
    4. breaking of oaths also caused evil.
    5. Bad omencould cause evil.
    6. Evil would also be caused by evil people like withches, and wizards using mystical powers.
  12. State five causes of evil in Kenya today. (5mks)
    1. Bribery and corruption.
    2. Diseases.
    3. Poverty.
    4. Negative influence from mass media.
    5. Unemployment.
    6. Influence of drugs and alcohol.
    7. Poor leadership.

  13. State four acts of Abraham that demonstrate his faith in God. (4mks)
    1. He was willing to leave his motherland and go to a strange land.
    2. Abraham readily believed all promises God made to him.
    3. By faith Abraham trusted in God’s voice.
    4. By faith Abraham built two altars for God; one at Bethel and another at Sechem.
    5. Abraham entered into a covenant relationship with God.
    6. He was willing to change their names from Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah.
    7. He offered the best of his flock as a sacrifice.
