- The immediate help given to a person who has had an accident to sudden illness before seeking medical attention.
- What is RICE in Sprain treatment? (5marks)
- Rice is a procedure which is used for the treatment of sprains and other soft tissue injuries
R-rest the injured part
I-apply ice or cold compress to minimize swelling
C-compress the injured part with a bandage to decrease swelling.
E-elevate the injured part above the level of the heart to reduce swelling.

- Dry mob-used for dusting floor surfaces after sweeping
- Damp mobs-used for dusting furniture
- Wet mops-used to clean tiled floors.
- Polishing mob-used for polishing and buffing polished floors
- Give three points on care of a sewing machine .(3marks)
- After use place a piece of cloth between the presser foot and feed clog to soak up excess oil
- Cover the machine with a cloth or its lid to protect from dust.
- Clean and oil it regularly with oil recommended by its manufacturer
- Learners should use the machine under supervision.
- Dust and wipe the machine before use
- Do not machine over pins to avoid breaking the needle.

- Making compost manure-this is done using organic refuse such as vegetables remains food waste, grass
- Burying-this is suitable for disposing inorganic refuse such as old tins, broken glass,pot,dead animals.
- Burning-this method is ideal for disposing some inorganic and organic waste such as papers, dry leaves, dead animals.
- Recycling-polythene bags can be reused by chemically treating the materials and obtaining a new product e.g waste paper is recycled to make toilet roles.
- Disposal into dumping site-urban areas have waste disposal sites where waste is sorted out and disposed off accordingly

- Refuse disposal is getting rid of waste matter in the house.
- Household refuse-this is soilid waste comprising of garbage and rubbish such as bottle cans,old clothing,food scarps,food packaging,newspapers etc from home.
